Now with 25% less fail!

I nuked gallery2, /photos is now using FuckFlickr, it's much easier to maintain, faster, and just better.
Database and image caching has been implemented so pages should load like maple syrup instead of molasses. The images are served by the lovely CoralCDN.
The search function now indexes the file repository.
Webstats are back up (but april stats are empty because of log rotation)
The CGI proxy now has strong automatic adblocking and it proxies flash too, expect video loading to be slow as shit though.
Offsite backups using Dropbox are beginning too. So I'll soon have another hedge against my idiocy.

If you notice any issues just let me know :-)

edit: mixed up images fixed, coral accessed with port 8080 was the issue, it's fine on port 80 though

Mysql was being stupid, thus downtime.

I deleted my home directory, thus /music is fucked.

I really need to stop doing this.

I made a blog. It's not that ugly. On it I post thoughts, thinkings, music, photos (cross-posted to the gallery) and other randomness miscellanea. Check it out @ beret.tumblr.com.

Also, I lied about the muzak section, it will be up at some point but I'm not sure when, re-tagging the files is a pain. Same with the new server, I'll probably be going to Arch or Gentoo linux and I want to get that all planned first. I do post music in my blog' s music section which you can at least listen to. Pandora is also a great place for muzak.

Are signups borked or is it just me?

We're back up! The site has /music off until I get the files retagged and thoroughly backed up (~2-3 weeks). They seem to all be safe though and all the tags are intact.

Last night the old Pentium II-MMX that was my backup server had it's hard drive fail. It won't even spin up. But with my new computer coming soon it will no longer be an issue though as this will become the backup server. I'll be soon creating personal folders for all registered users so you can host files here. Then you can backup stuff here if you set up ftp, email me for a login.
